September/October '07: Our tour of Scandinavia and Germany was a tremendous success. Musically the band really grew and the new music took on form and expression and came together in a dynamically very rich way. From both audiences and venues/promotors we received the best responses one can think of, and we look forward to coming back on the road, visiting the same and new venues, and reaching a wider audience. Soon there'll be more pictures here. From review of live
concert, Dresdener Neue Nachrichten, by Beate Baum:
December '06: During the month of December '06 I finished the musical part of the recording of Best of The West, with my quartet and the string quartet 4Corners, which we had recorded in July during our tour in Scandinavia. Soon there will be sound clips available in the Sound section to listen to for those of you interested. The music has come out great and I can't wait till the actual CD is ready. November '06: My recent stay in Italy was one of great inspiration, beauty, learning, fun and productivity. I enjoyed it immensely and would wish for everybody to have those kind of experiences and working-possibilities from time to time. While there I composed new material for my Quartet, I wrote 7 new semi-classical songs for vocal and piano, and I wrote the first 5 minutes of a orchestral piece that I have long meant to start. Here are a few pictures from the area around Scala, on the Amalfi Coast, where I stayed:
"This Is My House": The CD "This Is My House" with
AMI Quartet is now available. AMI Quartet promoted "This Is My House"
with great succes at the Jazz Festivals in Denmark in July, and once again
the Danish National Radio recorded a live performance for future broadcast.
